I’ve had writers block for the past 2 or 3 months, im a songwriter, what can i do to fix it?
When I say writer’s block, i don’t mean i havent written a song in 2 or 3 months, i have written about 4, but i dont like them that much at all. Im usually hard on myself but i know these arent as good as my earlier works. I’ve been writing songs for almost a year now, and i have about 12 and the songs right before i hit my writers block are my favorite. But now, i feel like i cant write anything DIFFERENT than my other songs and i dont want to be one of those artists where people think all of my stuff sounds the same. Whats a way i can change my lyrical style, and my rhythm guitar to the point where i dont feel like im playing the same song or a similar song as my earlier stuff? Im in a deep funk, almost to the point where i feel like there just isnt anything different that i can do anymore, like im spent out as a musician but im only 17 and its what i want to do with my life so i need to get out of it, its quite depressing. www.myspace.com/moonatik is my myspace if you want to hear

sounds like all your missing is some inspiration homie;) draw on either life experiences or new inspirations- like listening to other riddems and word play- like reggae or arabic music. expand your consciousness and your music will follow suite.
