I’m writing a horror novel and need some suggestions?
The book I’m writing is going to be about werewolves.
It’s going to be the first in a series.
What do you think a good horror novel about werewolves should have?
I need a setting
I’m looking for a very woodsy area.

Descriptive transformation where the human morphs into the lycanthrope.
Maybe the person who transforms into the werewolf loses his mind. I mean, every full moon you change into a werewolf. That’s got to be hard on your psyche.

A aristocrat family that has a scary secret running thru generation : their young, nice looking grandson turns into wolf in the full moon every month. You can develope the rest beased on that setting. It could be a bit romantic, scary, ..ect…

you can talk about how werewolves are different from how people think they are like.

Talk about how the person is normal or so thats what people think until he/she is a toddler and starts behaving odd.

maybe you should write about a vampire or demon, who cant stop killing, then she/he has to kill the vampire queen which ends up killing him/her.

you should make the werewolf human— like they feel emotions and are terrified of hurting anyone they love.
if you include emotional turmoil than it really makes the werewolf realistic– human– and much more terrifying
For setting- if it’s in the states I’d go for maine- very creepy area when the wind blows- or north carolina which is very woodsy in some areas.
good luck! i hope to read your book when it comes out:)
