I think most writers drink for that…but you might be too young. Write about a puppy that never grows up. What kid wouldn’t love that?

Tell the story of a red-cheeked, only girl who hated her name–it was Hulgerafoo or something horrible–and so she sat in her mother’s garden.
First she say a Bee fly by and thought that she would call herself Bee. But then she reflected it was the second letter of the alphabet, and she wanted to be first.
So she looked down and saw an ant and thought she would call herself Aunt, but then she thought she had no brothers or sisters so the name would never really apply.
She reach out and scratched herself against a thorn. A rose stem had ripped into her. That was it. Calling herself rose would honor her mother’s garden, was associated with beauty and mystery and purity and sweetness, and her cheeks were like Roses. So she called herself Rose.
Only her mother refused to adopt the new name. She was still Hulgerafoo to those in her family. But she wouldn’t be with them forever. One day she would go into the world a be a Rose.
Alter as needed, make it cuter, cleverer, smarter, funnier, snappier.

Children’s book are easy, just write about anything that pops into your head.
For example: I’m sitting at my desk right now so I’m going to pick any object I see and write about it.
One day a bug named Larry flew to a branch that three other bugs were sitting on. They teased Larry and told him that he wasn’t brave enough to fly into the big, shiny building across the way. Larry was scared but he did it and all of a sudden they shut the door in the building and he was locked in. While he was in there he met a friendly bird that was also trapped named Ceasel. Ceasel told him that he had been there for days and had not found a way out yet. Together they found a way out and lived happily ever after.
Moral of the story: Don’t give in to peer pressure.
