As a christian, you be told that certain media are off limits? Like you should only read ****?ks that are only geared to Christianity, ****? you still enjoy ****?d medical thrillers, and Science Fiction. Is there anything really wrong with reading what you love? I would love everyone’s input!
The thing is, I read ****?d Christian fiction, ****? I still love things that are about love and romance, and science fiction. I adore those, ****? I still love God.

  2. nola_cajun Says:

broaden your ****?izon … open your eyes .. think outside the box ..

    and read those ****?ks

  3. CJ Says:

It’s based on your view of what you can and can’t do. Romans and 1 Corinthians talk about these things. If you don’t feel like you’re sinning by reading or watching them, then you can. If somethings ***?ems to cross the line for you, then avoid it. That’s up to you and the Lord.

  4. Holy Holly Says:

As long ***? it does not ***?rsonally offend you than it should be alright. Of course, why would anyone read or watch something that offends them?

  5. Lynchburger Says:

God’s truth is at it’s highest and best in Scripture, ****? ***? God made all things, anything with the clear mark of God’s ****?dness, beauty, and truth on it is worthy of the Christian’s consideration:

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of ****?d report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8

  6. Jarrod Says:

You don’t have to always read Christian ****?ks. Don’t live in a Christian bubble…live in the real world.

Jesus speaking to the Pharisees on all their rules:
“For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders…”

Don’t make up extra rules, living a Christian life is hard enough

  7. sisterzeal Says:

1 Corinthians 6:12 (King James Version)
    King James Version (KJV

12All things are lawful unto me, ****? all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, ****? I will not be brought under the power of any.

Just don’t let anything control you. Jesus is not into putting ***?ople under law the church often is however. why I have no idea. Jesus came to ***?t you free.

You have to judge what is best for you ……if what you are doing or watching makes you feel less close to God it’s not ****?d. He ****?ts a relationship with YOU ***?rsonally ***?k him about these things! :)

  8. humanbeforeamerican Says:

As long ***? what you love reading does not temp you away from Jesus, and you know the difference between what is truth and what isn’t, then I don’t ***?e a problem with it

  9. link955 Says:

Reading restrictions come from ***?ople, not from gods. My guess would be your gods don’t care what you read. Other ***?ople, concerned with controlling thought, will object, because if you’re reading ****?ks other than those which they approve of, you’re not thinking about what they ****?t you to think about. If you like being controlled, read only your little Christian ****?ks. If you ****?t to think for yourself, read everything else.

  10. papavero Says:

KING Solomon warned: “To the making of many ****?ks there is no end, and much devotion to them is wearisome to the flesh.” (Ecclesiastes 12:12) Solomon was not trying to discourage reading; he was just advising you to be ***?lective.

The principle Jesus stated at Matthew 24:15 is thus ***?rtinent: “Let the reader use discernment.” Learn to ****.ze and weigh what you read.

It is best, then, to avoid novels that arouse immoral feelings or that engender unrealistic expectations. Why not branch out and try reading other types of ****?ks, ****?h ***? history or science ****?ks? Not that fiction is off limits, for there are some fictional works that are not only entertaining ****? also educational. ****? if a novel features ***. ***?nseless violence, occult practices, or “heroes” who are promiscuous, ruthless, or greedy, should you waste your ***?me reading it?

So exercise care. Before reading a ****?k, examine its cover and ****?k jacket; ***?e if there is anything objectionable about the ****?k. And if in ****?te of precautions a ****?k turns out to be unwholesome, have the strength of character to put the ****?k down.

By way of contrast, reading the Bible and Bible-related publications will help, not harm, you.

    Ciao

  11. The Stylist Says:

You know what? Certain things make me uncomfortable, because they are negative. If certain things make you feel wierd, or dark, or uncomfortable, don’t watch them. Youre only hurting yourself, not God. He ****?ts to ***?e you happy. I can’t listen to heavy metal anymore because it is so harsh. My whole ****?rit is shaken by it. I prefer to be at ***?ace ***? a ***?rsonal choice. Everyone likes a ****?d ****?re once in a while, Follow your heart, not your ego- you’ll know if its wrong.
