But what about someone completely sadistic who gains some one’s complete trust and becomes intimate with them. Then, on their wedding night, they get brutally murdered, along with the rest of their family and anyone who associated with them.

Or, if you don’t like that, you could go with someone with a dual personality who murders by night, and then investigates the murders during the day.

Here’s a good one: someone (or something) who goes under people’s beds when they’re sleeping and then does creppy stuff to them and eventually kills them.

Your ideas would probably be the best for you though, so you should go with what you think is right.
