I cant remember the name of a book. its youth fiction about a young girl who lives in a society underground where people believe in rencarnation(people are given stones when born that determine who they “are”) and everyone is short. The cavern system is flooding and to stop it they want to sacrifice her sister who is the queen, so she travels to the surface and meets a “giant”. Does this book sound familiar to anyone?

    It almost sound like the City Of Ember. They lived underground in that book. But, I don’t think that is the book that you are thinking about.
