I'm in the same situation. Why not look up other activities? The library has lots of programs for youth. Try looking up volunteer applications. There are plenty out there for youth. Also, try Toastmasters. It's a public speaking program. Everyone needs to make a speech at some time or another and it's better to be prepared now. Learn some speaking skills and interact with other kids your own age. You said you're good with people, so why not give it a shot? In both cases it depends on what you do about it and how is your environment and opportunities. You are 13, and you are right. There are many laws that will prevent you from doing things. It may sound unfair but they are there to protect most teenagers and kids. I suggest that you continue reading, designing, writing, enjoying your life with friends and family until you are old wnough to do something about all your interests and talents. You may try to see if there are places where you can volunteer or do some community work that helps you to see other people and apply what you know. Once you are old enough, you can try to publish your things and offer your designs. Now, just do research and continue with your work so you will be well prepared and will have many things to offer when it is time. You may need to move to a city if you feel now that what is in your environment is not enough. Or think in traveling to other countries (when you are old enough).
