How should I do this in the novel I am writing?

I want these people to get stranded on an island and i want them to live their for the rest of their lives. would that be dumb and would that be possible to write about without it sounding to stupid? And is it possible that they are never found on their deserted island and they just live there for the rest of their lives?

It’s possible, but it sounds like something that has been done before. Do you have any ideas on how to make it sound a little more unique? I’m not trying to be mean or anything, just a thought.

Think ‘Blue Lagoon’ , ‘Robinson Crusoe’, ‘Swiss Family Robinson’, ‘Lord of the Flies’, ‘Gilligan’s Island’, ‘Lost’…

    Sounds like Lost.

    But hey, where there’s a will, there’s a way.

JK Rowling used an idea which has probably been used before, a world full of magic and witches and wizards, but she made it unique!

How would they get there? Plane crash is popular but highly implausible (the amount of G’s exerted in the human skeleton during a “crash landing” generally far exceeds the lethal limit). Shipwreck is very survivable, but most ships are equipped with GPS. Driving there is impossible (for obvious reasons)
It would be very difficult in today’s world with current technology. However, take it back a few centuries (or even sufficient decades) and you have a plausible scenario.

no offense but the idea seems a bit overused to me. sorry.
