yes, to both. I have a flash fiction story posted on shredofevidence.com (less than 1000 words) that is a one sided phone conversation– a ***?l to her guy.
A short story doesn’t give the reader a lot of background, except through the dialog and description of actions, or thoughts. A short story has to be concise, and to the point. A short story is often written in first ***?rson to put the emphsis where its best appreciated and most effective. I have ***?veral other short stories on my website if you would like to read some examples. One I can’t give you to read is being published in December on mouthfullofbullets.com it is also in first ***?rson.
BUT don’t be limited by any means. If you write a story through letters, poetry, or emails its acceptable ***? long ***? someone buys it to publish.
