How can I start off a proposal to start a poetry program with an after school program?
What are some key elements that I can focus on in the propsal to actually get the job. I am good at what I do as far as teaching poetry, but I have never written a proposal. I also can not afford to pay someone to write it for me. I figure if they see that my heart is in it, then maybe they will give me a chance.
Ronnie are you trying to be funny? If I sent you a proposal that rhymed would you take me seriously?

If you want to get their attention, make it rhyme.

Poetry nowadays seems to be jingles in ads. How can you inspire kids to read it, when they think it’s nerdy or sissy?
Why not let them know about poetry slams? They could their hand at slamming. Tell them about the lives of poets–that they are ordinary people with a gift. Tell then about poet laureates, and the honor of being chosen as one.
