Hey, how about you write a song about your job?
When you have writers block it’s tough to get anything written down, so you need to just listen to a favorite song or read a book to get your mind going and the creative juices flowing. Every songwriter has this, I do. The thing is that you can’t force stuff out of you: you have to let it come out on its own.

Write down anything, even if it’s already been done and even if you think it’s trash. Try not to judge things right away. Keep a notebook or recorder with you at all time, in case something comes up. Try brainstorming, writing as many subjects down as fast as you can. Relax.
