  1. Cynthia Says:

    Stephan King
    Dean Koontz
    Mary Higgins Clark
    Kathy Reichs
    Andrew Greeley
    Robin Cook

  2. Keep the Faith Says:

For horror, I’d say Stephen King (”Carrie” is brilliant), or maybe if you are looking for classic horror Bram Stoker.
    You could try:
    Anne Rice
    David Blair
    M. R. James
    Christine Feehan
    E. E. Knight

are also good… not too sure about the others though sorry.

  3. jen Says:

    Amelia Atwater-Rhodes
JK Rowling (Fantasy) As the series progresses it is one huge mystery
    Terry Goodkind

  4. Mystica Says:

Stephen King! I LOVED Carrie. Like LOVED it, it’s one of my favorite books.

  5. xxohapplexx Says:

    Stephen King (Carrie and It)

William Sleator (The Boy Who Couldn’t Die) He’s not that scary

Anne Rice ( idk what she writes but my mom got mad at this guy for bringin’ them in her house lol)

  6. Lasher Says:

In horror: Stephen King (It), H.P. Lovecraft(The Tomb), Edgar Allen Poe(Tell Tale Heart), V.C. Andrews(Flowers in the Attic), Bram Stoker(Dracula), Mary Shelley(Frankenstein), Clive Barker(Books of Blood), Richard Matheson(I Am Legend), Joyce Carol Oates(Broke Heart Blues), and Anne Rice(The Vampire Chronicles).

Mystery: I’m not much of a mystery reader but I’d suggest Agatha Christie(And Then There Were None) and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle(Sherlock Holmes).

Fiction: Neil Gaiman(Smoke and Mirrors), Lewis Carroll(Alice in Wonderland), Lloyd Alexander(The Black Cauldron), C.S. Lewis(Narnia), Jane Austen(Pride and Prejudice), Charlotte Bronte(Jane Eyre), Emily Bronte(Wuthering Heights), Oscar Wilde(Picture of Dorian Gray), and J.R.R. Tolkien(Lord of the Rings).
