For summer reading.
Has to be at least 150 pages and appropriate.

    uprising by m. p. haddix. it’s a wonderful hist. fic ***?t in 1910, about the mill fires. i read at 14, and it was great.
    the ****?k thief might be a bit old for her, ****? it is by ***?r the most beautiful ****?k i have ever read.

    Try “Of Human *******. by W. Somerset Maugham

    I know, ***.e sounds totally depressing. ****? it’s actually a very ****?d read; interesting, quick moving, and not what you’d think from the ***.e. It’s ***?mi-autobiographical historical fiction — so it sort of fits both categories. :) Any library should have it.

    good historical ****?k - Killer Angels by Michael Shaara - about the battle of Gettysburg. Would be great for US history class.

    Good entertaining ****?k - Piers Anthony’s Spell for Chameleon - first of the Magic of Xanth saga. I loved it when I was that age.

    I got my Niece the Princess Diaries - she is the same age ***? your reader. They are by Meg Cabot. First four ****?ks cover the events covered in the first two movies.
