good medical fictions and nonfictions?
I am a pre-med student, and this Summer I would like to read some fictions and non-fictions with themes that are related to medicine. I just bought two books at the bookstore. One is called Better by Atul Gawande and the other one is Jodi Picoult’s My Sister’s Keeper. I wanna read more books like those. What books do y’all recommend?

I’m an epidemiology student, and I’ve recently discovered books by Richard Preston, specifically “The Hot Zone” and “The Cobra Event.” They’re both virus-oriented and they keep you on the edge of your seat. I believe The Hot Zone is based on a true story – the first Marburg episode, but The Cobra Event is fiction.
