Historical fiction (not romantic, just historical.)

Mystery and spy/thriller are my favorites - so long as they aren’t too graphic with the violence and gore, also not too political.

My personal favorite is fantasy, bordering on Urban Fantasy

It’s a toss-up between Fantasy and Science fiction.
Anita Blake is very cool…
But Honor Harrington rocks also.

I love literary fiction, award winning novels mostly, but I have to say that my book club has introduced me to lots of genres that I never thought I would enjoy. I have read westerns, romances, mysteries, sci-fi, historical fiction, horror, non-fiction, and have enjoyed most of them!

ooo. it would definitely have to be a tie between fantasy and romance.
the whole, true love, getting over obstacles thing [which will never happen in my lifetime] is really nice to think about.
And i love fantasy.. because… well. it’s fantasy.

Fantasy, spy/espionage, and a tiny bit of romance. All to make my melting pot book soup!

Fantasy
Science Fantasy (not SciFi…this would be more, like, Artemis Fowl. Magyk and Science mixed together)
Romance (on two conditions: it’s mixed in with other stuff, and it’s cute, not smutty)
Mystery
Occult
Of course, I’ll read nearly anything.

Well, I read a lot of classics, so…I guess most of those are romance, in a way. Horror and fantasy are good, too: Poe, Shelley, and Wilde had those down.
