Could You Help Me With Writers Block?

Okay, I have writers block. I have the urge to write, but what should I write about? GR! This has been on my mind for a couple of weeks now! Could you help? If you are going to help me… please read on…

Alright, I want to write a story. I’m an 11 year old girl, but don’t underestimate me! I am an amazing writer and student! I like to write realistic fiction and sometimes fantasy. I usually like the main character to be a human child.
Please and thank you! Idea that helps me the most gets best answer! If it ends up being an O.K. story I might post it as a question later on.

Keep updated for my story!

Writing like this is bound to create writers block – instead do what many seasoned writers do – carry a note book around with them.. at the bus stop, school, shop wherever write down little snippets – for example – one lady I know always says ‘Hmm-mmm’ – another man I know has a nasty habit of burbing as he suffers indigestion.. another always pays for everything using coppers if he can..

As daft as it sounds all these wee things can help you create a character and make him or her real because as well as your hero kid character you need lots of others with a few trademarks that really make them stand out and real..

Jotting down tales from your elders, things that occur to you etc will all help you formulate a plot..

Even when you have a rough idea spend much more time on the planning of your new world than the actual writing – JK Rowling did this – she has reams of paper detailing every inch of the Harry Potter world – because even if we as readers do not get to know everything – as author she needs to – so write down or know all about your world – characters – date of birth, likes, dislikes, fears, funny anecdotes about them etc etc etc

    Good luck..

Whenever I feel like writing I always get writer’s block. When I do I usually listen to music or watch a movie because either will inspire me. It always depends on what you’re writing about though. If I write something it’s usually about relationships so I’ll watch a romantic comedy. When it comes to realistic fiction you can really watch anything and you’ll hopefully get inspired!

How about you write a story that’s NOT centered on a human charater???

Everyone does stories like that, make yours different!

    1. listen to music
    2. watch a movie
    3. social interaction — get together with a friend, talk on the phone
    4. go to the mall, you’d be surprised what you can get inspired off of.
5 look up google pics, works for me! lol.

Children in this world you have a buffet

    Watch the news OR

look at children on TV when you see them and you’ll be surprised at what you mind turns out. Example search kids and when you get your results pick one and give them a name and a home town. Feel free to use this:

Gracie Harrison: I was never a bad child. My mommy always said that if I was good I wouldn’t get into any trouble; I guess that only mattered in school. The day the policemen kicked down our door and arested made me quesion everything I had ever done. Not even my own mother could explain what was happening to us….

    Hope this can help
