Contemporary fantasy fiction story ideas for young adults?
I’m a teenager, and I’m planning on writing a novel. Trouble is, I currently have writer’s block. I’m trying fantasy fiction first, but no unicorns and other uber cliche “fantasy” stuff. Any ideas?

If I were to give you an idea, you would eventually stop writing, because it wasn’t your own. This happens all the time.
Why don’t you find some ways to help inspire you to write? Listen to music, or take a walk. Whatever you feel will help you out the most. Maybe write some poetry.
Brainstorming is always a good idea too. Get a pad of paper and a pen, and just start writing things down. Eventually, something will come to you.
I know this wasn’t what you were looking for, but it really is the best way.
Good luck!

This us a good site for random generating everything from a variety of story ideas to back grounds, powers, tech, magic spells, etc. Seventh Sanctum is also fun just for random giggles. I love the Dark Minion Generator.
BTW-If someone give you an idea and can prove they did so, you’d never be able to publish it without them suing for “their share” of the profits.
