College entry essay question.writers block bad?
College application essay question states they want diversity, different opinions and backgrounds on their campus and want to know what I can offer them! I have writer’s block bad and am not sure how to answer this or where to even begin to start!

What is special about your background? Any special skills, participation in special things like music, chess…. What race are your parents, do you have any other languages? Have you acheived anything special or featured in your local paper? What groups do you belong to? Have you got interesting opinions or a special hobby?
Sample - mother Rumanian, I speak Rum to her at home. I was runner up in the school chess championships, play oboe, and am known for my outspoken opinions. I regulary take part in the school debating society and…..Every Tuesday I help an elderly Somalian woman in her home and have learnt a lot about Somalia from her. I have a slight hearing difficulty and am studying lipreading.

First step: Just jot down your ideas
Second step: Try to connect common ideas into paragraphs.
Third step: Develop a good lead paragraph.
Fourth step: Develop a good ending that summarizes your points.
Thoughts to consider:
* Clubs, activities, social events, etc.
* Leadership experience, i.e. club president.
* Volunteer in local community and/or church functions.
* Part-time jobs.
* Unique courses completed.
* What is your passion? What do you really like to do?
For example, do you bake, run, draw?
* Do other students come to you for advice? Do you mentor younger students?
* Have you had to overcome a difficult situation? Maybe a handicap or discrimination? What did you learn from that experience?
* What makes you different? Stand out in the crowd?
Good luck. Just jot down ideas, and it will eventually all flow together into a good essay. This is your time to brag about you!
