How come they don’t do it every other month-or 3 times a years.

I have a question. I am new to NaNoWriMo, having never participated, and I see that there is a “Young Adults” NaNo and a normal NaNo. The Young Adults has a count goal you set for yourself, adn the other one does not.

Which one do you use? YA NaNo? Or just NaNo?

Someone please fill me in on NaNoWriMo!

I can’t figure it out. I don’t have any page called “My Novel”, as far as I can see, and that’s what I read that I should do on google. Help!

Rather than be accused of promoting it, I will not enter the links here. But I’m curious to know some of you, and how you are doing on this. Or if not, have you ever published a book or even published in journals, literary quarterlies, or anything prestigious like National Geographic, Esquire, GQ, Time Magazine, The New Yorker?

What advice might you offer to the aspiring novelist?

November will be here before you know it, a little more than 2 months away! Are you planning to participate this year? Do you think you’ll succeed? Do you have any idea of what you are going to do for it?

I’m hoping to get the novel I’m writing finished by then so I can start on the next book that tells the story of the secondary charcters in the first one. I’m so excited haha.
