Questions

I am writing a novel that I would consider to be fantasy. I am writing with 1″ margins, single spaced 12 pt font times new roman. How long would it have to be to be considered a novel?
Would steps would have to be taken to submit to a publisher without an agent?

Next month is NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), and I am hopelessly without a plot. Usually I have some sort of idea laid out, but this year I can’t think of anything interesting.

So I’m planning on doing ScriptFrenzy this year after all the fun I had doing NaNoWriMo and I just realized I don’t have the first clue about how to write a script. I mean I know what it entails but I don’t know how to do any of the formatting or stage directions. I’ve heard people mention programs for this, can anyone recommend any good ones. Preferably free ones because I don’t know that I’m ever going to write another script and don’t want to spend a ton of money.

Okay, I’m writing a murder mystery novel. It’s about this serial murderer who is a hot-dog vendor in NYC. He kills people and uses the meat. (YES I know, it’s gross)
Should I come up with a name for him and use it (like Jeffery Dahmer) or should I come up with a fancy name like what the police came up with for the Vampire Killer or the Zodiac Killer?

Help please! I did come up with main charcter’s name:

Amilyn Nicole Hotchner-Wade, age thirteen

Also give ideas for the name of the killer…I need serious help

I’m writing a book for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and I got curious as to how big this book would be once it’s published. I have all the Sherrilyn Kenyon books, so any book word count would be a great comparison, with exception to Acheron. (I have the book, but it’s much bigger than what i’ve written.) Thank you!

My Serial Killer in my book is extremely smart, and leaves nothing but clues that lead to dead ends. How can he mess up to give the detectives hints to who and where he is.
