Questions

I’m trying to write a fictional story with no fantasy involved and everytime I think of a story fantasy comes to mind. and I don’t want it to be copied or repeated.

I have a problem I usually encounter when I try to write a story or a screenplay… It’s like a form of writer’s block where you’ve got most of the story in your head, you’ve got the basic structure laid out, but you get so bogged down when it comes to researching and connecting the details to the main story points that you tend to put writing off until you’re not feeling lazy to do it.

Anyone else get this? How can I get past that “laziness” phase?

Yes, I have searched Y!A for days now and have found nothing satisfactory. Usually, nothing inspires me to do something, I do it because I want to do something new, and if I like it, I stick to it. I’m not the kind of person who can brainstorm or daydream either, and I can’t write random terms and shuffle them. I usually have an active imagination, but now I can’t think of anything, HELP PLZ???
I can’t observe either! Help!
I’m 11, if that helps.

i’ve had writers block for quite a while. i’m 14 (i know im young to be writing) and i’ve been writing for two years. im on my second book on the second chapter on the first page of the second chapter. i have a book telling what the chapter is going to be about but i can’t seem to put it into words. i’ve recentely watch a film called shakespear in love or something in english and he got righters block because he was heartbroken. i have recently fallen for someone who doesnt like me in that way. is this why?

I’m trying to write a poem (something I usually do) but I can’t a line out for the life of me. I have a topic and all but the words that I have don’t feel right. thanks for the help and God bless you all.

ok, as you can see, i am a very bad writer.

if you’ve read writers block 2, then this might make sence

so the guy in the beggining was very deppressed. he had dreams of jumping off a large building. this dream had been haunting him.

at the very end of the story,he has the same dream. however, the girl(from writers block 2) comes into his dream and says something. the guy thinks and says, “ok. let’s go” and they both leave the building safely. then he wakes up.

what can the girl say that sounds more poetic than “dont jump!” and make the guy say what i typed in? is it too much to ask for a real answer?

so i keep having these great titles for stories popping up in my head… and they relate to issues in my life.. i write to get my feelings out. but lately im not sure how to do it. i want to become more serious with my writing. my teachers say im talented and i should try to do something beyond school work so i figure whats gonna hurt to try? so… for example of my writers block:

i quit softball and i bought these new brand on cleats.. very expensive.. and i miss the sport. my dad, who was my coach for 14 years and biggest fan, is disappointed and i feel like i let myself down. but because of reasons that i cant explain here… i cant play any more. and well something keeps telling me to write about it, but i dont want it to be plain and be like “this is what happened. i quit, i cant play, and i have these new cleats that haunt me every day about quitting because theyre sitting in a box and bug me.” well the title would be “Brand New Ringors”… i know it needs some work, but the work cant come until the story does!

(and dont worry… i dont write like i talk, meaning to clarify that i know i probably seem like a bad writer right now because im not using any form of any kind.)

i HAVE tried to start several different stories but nothing seems quite right to fit.. to get my feelings out.

but basically what im trying to ask is how to overcome this hill… and what the best way to go about doing it is, and getting started. i never have this problem.. so i dont have a clue as to how to fix it.

any help??

I have done everything there is to do to snap out of my extreme writers block — I’ve read different kinds of books, watched movies, physical activity, everything.

But, everytime I sit down to write, my mind goes absolutely BLANK. This has been going on for almost 8 months.

Please, I need to snap out of this. What can I do???
