So, the five senses are :
- Sight.
- Hearing.
- Taste.
- Smell.
- Touch.
Coastline typically refers to the coast itself.
You could be sitting on the coast in the sand, watching the sun setting. You hear the sounds of the fierce waves making their way to the shore. Say you brought some snacks with you. Use that for your taste. You can smell the fresh breeze. You can touch seashells, the sand, etc, etc.

Just close your eyes and think about being there….
What do you hear? Water splashing against the shore? Seagulls screeching above you? Are there people around you?
What do you see? (That one should be pretty easy)
What do you smell? The salt of the ocean wafting through the air? Anything else? Does the sand have it’s own scent as well? If so, what does it smell like?
What do you feel? The grainy sand between your toes? The ocean water splashing over your feet, and then withdrawing? The warmth of the sun, beating down on your skin?
I’m not sure what you would be tasting, but use your imagination. Maybe there’s a vendor who is selling some cool treats that you are indulging on!

Creative writing is great fun! Poem or short story? Imagine that you are going to the ocean for the first time:
Taste: tang of the salty air
Smell: tropical coconut smells of nearby tanners, sweat as it drips off your nose as you bake in the sun
Sights: white capped waves crashing against the bluffs, playing pictionary in the clouds–a ship, a clown, what do you see?, daredevil antics of seagulls swooping down to steal a morsel from the picniccers
Listen: the the tinkling sounds of children’s laughter, young lovers talking quietly beneath their umbrellas, the slow and final hiss of the sun setting into the waters at the end of a glorious day
Touch: the rough sandpapery feeling of sand squishing in your toes, running quickly across the flaming hot asphalt reminds me of standing on mom’s feet when I was small, cool, crips waters releasing the heat of the day
