Any good Non-Fiction suggestions?

I have been an avid novel reader and have mainly read thriller, mysteries, etc. I have enjoyed medical thrillers immensely although I have read some law and techno thrillers. All of the stuff without any real merit lol However, I want to broaden my horizon and begin to read about real life events, topics, people, etc. I need to start with some non-fiction books that are exciting enough to hold my interest, and then I will sort of “wean” myself from this need for excitement.

Does anyone have non-fiction titles to start with? It doesn’t matter the topic, just needs to be interesting and reasonably exciting.

Thanks in advance for your answers!

The Art of War is a lovely philosophical book. I learned a lot from it the first, second and third time I read it.

A Child Called It by Dave Pelzer is probably the best nonfiction book I’ve read. Gifted Hands by Ben Carson is a biography but it’s a good read. I don’t read too much nonfiction myself so that’s about all I can offer you. ;] Good luck finding a book!

The Conquest of New Spain by Bernal Diaz Castillo. He was with Cortes when they conquered Mexico.

As to what you have posted it seems to me that you like a real challenge. I publish the INSEPCTOR-RIKATIĀ® series which has books about constitutional and other legal matters but are non-fiction. Each chapter is basically written as an item on its own.
More over it takes you down a journey as to how the constitution was created and how it affects you and so in the process you can learn what your real constitutional position is.
The books are full of copies of documents of court proceedings and so the validity of the arguments rest by the courts having upheld those arguments/set out.

As you have set out to have been reading about legal matters this may just interest you a lot more because basically it is about you and your status as much as anyone else.

The website gives you a n email address and you can if you desire obtain some further information.
