Any good historical fiction books for my book report?
Hey everyone,
I have a book report comming up soon and I need to find a good historical fiction book to read. I’m only 12 but my reading levelnis aroung a 12th grade level (upper 1200 lexile level). Anyone know a moderate sized (less than 1000 more than 300) historical fiction book that I could read (that’s more entertaining than not pls :))
Thanks
Julian

There is a great book called Relevance - Antwerp Upside-Down: 1877 which is only 50 pages long. It’s a story about a man obsessed with photography, and it’s based on the history of photography in Belgium.
Find it at Lulu.com. I think the author is Juliette Field.
Good luck

Children of the Dark People by Frank Dalby Daviison
You might find it difficult to get a copy of this book but ask at your library. This is a delightful book - an Australian folktale.

“Master and Commander” by Patrick O’brian is excellent and educational. It’s about a British Naval captain in the early 1800s when they were at war with Napoleon. The characters are fictional but the naval battles are all based on actual actions. If you’ve seen the movie the book is way better.
