No one is too old to read what they want. A lot of adults read fantasy. My mom loves the Chronicles of Narnia and enjoys reading fantasy, and she is in her forties.

never!!!!!!! I'm older than you, and it's my favorite genre. My dad reads it too. And he's older than both of us put together!
Don't worry about what people say; read what you like--you'll have less headaches that way.

Let me offer a couple suggestions too--Mercedes Lackey (Valdemar especially), Tanith Lee (Tales from the Flat Earth--fairly dark), Katherine Kurtz (Deryni), Christopher Stasheff (Warlock books). Anne McCaffrey's early Pern books read like fantasy. Marion Zimmer Bradley's Darkover. Maybe Piers Anthony--his Xanth books are rather punny for some people, though. There are fantasy comics, too--Elfquest! One of the 1st independent comic books.

No, people can go on enjoying fantasy books forever. Many fantasy novels are written with an adult audience in mind. Jasper Fforde's books, for instance, are aimed at adults, and so is Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. I don't think you ever get too old for fantasy.

hey dude! I'm 16 too, and if you think your reads are getting a little childish, it's time to step it up a notch.

Check out The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan. kicks off a 12-book series, it's very epic and I can't put it down.

also see: A Game of Thrones. currently a 4-book series, with more coming. written by George R.R. Martin. It takes a break from the typical Lord of the Rings style of plot and does something completely new. Every plot, counterplot, and subplot are woven together into a true masterpiece.

And remember: Your never too old to read a good book.

If you're too old to read fiction/fantasy books, I'm now in the wrong business.

Nobody is ever too old to read good books they like.

Relax, enjoy yourself-- any reading is better reading than no reading at all. You are the judge of what you like to read, not Yahoos. Rest easy.

Read what you are interested in for the rest of your life. There is no such thing as too old when it comes to reading books you like.

Your never too old to read.
Even if your 78,
people may say stuff but let them talk.
You can read what ever you like,
just don't expect not to get judged.
But who cares right?

Good Lord, not at all! Reading at that age is a great thing to devote time to.
