Would you tell the authorities about a threat made against the president?

For example: A man at the local coffee shop has been ranting about President Obama, saying he ought to be shot. He's angry about the proposed health care bill but this still seems way out of line. At what point does expressing your opinion of the president become a threat?

Would you ignore it and figure he was just blowing hot air?

A few days before my period, I crave very salty foods, like potato chips, dip, green olives, french fries. I already gain 2 lbs of water weight before I eat that stuff, then I eat it, and it's like my body really loves the salt and wants to retain more water! So now I'm 4 lbs heavier in only 2 days. It's obviously water weight, but I feel so disgusting, none of my pants fit, it's really upsetting!! I tried drinking tons and tons of water, I tried diuretics, I tried coffee! Anything else to get rid of this? I'm being held hostage of my own body because of this every month! It's really bad to go up one pant size just because of that time of the month!

i just met this guy and we met up for coffee twice so far, first time he asked me and i said yes...second time around i asked him and he agreed...so when we talk his body and face is always angled towards me and he maintains eye contact the whole time we are together, he doesnt get distracted by anything else in the room..also he will sometimes lean in close when talking...first time we met he greeted me with a hug and when our coffee date ended he asked for another hug..also this time around he was saying how nice i looked and how nice my hair was...he also told me that he sent his cell number to my inbox because he was running late and i was already at the coffee shop waiting for him and we never exchanged numbers, he says to me i sent you my number so that next time this doesnt happen (so i guess he is already anticipating a next time)...then at one point i was talking right away about this awesome spaghetti i made and he was just looking at me not really saying anything but smiling and nodding his head like he was thinking about something, so i stopped and asked him what was he thinking, and he just looks at me and smiles and says i dont think you wanna know then he says on that note i need to get to work and he gets up reaches his arms out and asks for another hug lol...someone please explain lol

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up; She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose.

Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil; without saying a word.

In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter, she asked, ' Tell me what you see.'

'Carrots, eggs, and coffee,' she replied.

Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. The mother then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard boiled egg..

Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich aroma. The daughter then asked, 'What does it mean, mother?'

Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened. The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.

'Which are you?' she asked her daughter. 'When adversity knocks on your door,how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?

Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?

Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and hardened heart?

Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you. When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest do you elevate yourself to another level? How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?

A coworker and I were headed out for some coffee during our break. We entered a Dunkin Donuts near our work. My coworker immediately notices that our server has a very unique and interesting name. She gently taps me and mouths the words "what the ****" as she moves her pointer finger over her right breast, the area where this girls nametag is located. The name was "Shital". She then says to her "excuse me Shital, could you please make sure not to get 'Shitall' over our cups."
Ya, I agree, for the girst time ever I didn't laugh at her rude behavior because that girl was so cute and sweet looking. And I know as an Arabiya, many people with names that are common to us but weird to others.
an*chan: She just looked surprised, but she didn't say anything. She is a really young girl, maybe 17 or something. Next time I go in I'll apologize to her and throw a big tip in her jar or something to make up for it. Plus, Christmas is coming and I go there often, I could buy her a little gift and tell her it's for the holiday's, to try to be nicer to her. I could tell she was very hurt.
Desi, I got enough junk in my trunk, so I don't get sugary drinks. I only get black coffee. Getting it from cafeteria in school is out of the question ever since I found a fly in my coffee.

Can my landlord charge me for disposing of items that were listed as broken in the inventory?

I moved into a property via a letting agent, in the inventory it listed a pedal bin that had a broken pedal, a slightly damaged small coffee table and some items in the bathroom like chrome soap tray. These items have over the past 13 months deteriorated and either rusted or become unhygienic so I disposed of them (bearing in mind none of these items were new when I moved in), would I be liable to pay for them from my bond?

Also I did damage a dimmer switch which would need replacing, I understand I will be charged but would like to know what would be a fair amount to have deducted for something like this.

Could my brothers Spirit be around me?

Nothing wrong with that. He is a gentle good spirit. I feel much better when he is around. I was just wondering what I can do to embrace this and make the most of it. Are ther any books or websites? I cant see him, I just feel him by my right arm, or he hugged me, touched my forehead and cold spots. I havent dreamed about him yet. Can they talk to you telepathically? I hear him whisper my name and it wakes me up at night. My dogs barked and ran around excitedly like someone they knew had just gotten home. My cat kept looking up and making short soft meowing noises but nothing was there.

He was around me right after he died till the night before his funeral. He died suddenly and at 41 of a heart attack. There was a lot of drama around it too. Therer still is. 2 months after he crossed over I hadnt seen any sign of my brother. It was the night before my engagement party and I was going in to see a fertility specialist. There was lots of drama about his funeral at the time. I could feel him around again just like before. He was trying to comfort me.

The next day I made coffee and put surgar and cream in it. I walked away and found the cream had formed a perfect B. My brothers name was Brian and we used to drink coffee together. I took a picture of it and his step son said he found a fogged window with writing on it. It was what the bumpersticker on his race car said.

I have been constipated for a few days, been taking tablets, still doesn't work?

I have been constipated for about 4 days now. I already been to the doctors and she told me to take Coloxyl with senna. I did went to the toilet the next day and also the next next day but I don't know when I can stop taking the tablets. Last night I didn't take them and this morning I have the urge to go to the toilet but I can't.
Now I have pain under my belly on my right side. Do you think it may be bowel cancer?
How long do I have to keep taking Coloxyl?

I'm not a fan of fruit so I don't eat as much fruit but I do love vegetables. That is why I'm wondering if it may be bowel cancer.
I had my periods about 2 weeks ago but I don't think I get constipated after, I usually get it before.
I a huge fan of coffee, I don't mind walks (if this helps you).

What do you think it is???

Was I just exhausted or was it something more?

We moved house over two years ago. Previous to this I was packing for over 6 weeks. Then when we moved I was unpacking for at least two months amongst making repairs etc. I was trying to get it all ready before Christmas as my extended family (very selfishly) wanted to celebrate the day at our new house. I was rushing around so much I broke my toe. Previous to our move we did sell my apartment as we thought we had found our perfect house, except on the day we were to exchange we realised it was wrong and dropped out. We had to find somewhere quick to move. This gave me panic attacks and I had to leave my job. For months whilst in our new home I was so exhausted that I had to sleep in the afternoons. But sometimes people would want to come over and I simply had no energy for them. The worst was when my mother invited herself over and got angry at me because I couldn't even find the energy to make her a coffee. I have always liked my own space and am a private person. Anyway, now things are better and I have the energy but what could it have been? Was it complete exhaustion?

My ex-girlfriend and I had been in a committed relationship for the last 8 months, and we've known each other for about 3 years via social forums.

I was in a 14 year relationship that ended and we started dating about 9 months after that. I'm 33 and she's 21.

Anyways, we had great affection for each other and it progressed pretty quickly, about 4 months in we were talking about marriage, kids, spending our Sundays looking through wedding magazines etc...

The thing is we're great for about 3 weeks and then there's a HUGE blow up and then it's WW111.
The cycle begins, she breaks up and I spend three days in the doghouse with her punishing me by not seeing me, hanging up on me when the convo turns sour, withholding affection etc..

Know I love this person, and I don't question that she loves me. What I can't understand is how you can tell your bestfriends that you think you've found the person that you're going to spend your life with when it's "good" and then litterally like a switch turn it off when things are bad? WTF??

I still talk to my ex of 14 years, but she's now married, planning to have kids the whole nine yards, and I have no interest in her romantically. We loved each other for a long time, and I'll always love her as a person, but want nothing to do with a relationship with her. My current ex, has always pulled the "I don't feel secure in our relationship" card. Which I've tried come hell or high water to prove to her that my intentions are nothing but to be with her only. She's never gotten over it but when I ask what don't you feel secure about she says I don't know.

The last little while I've noticed that she's become very controlling, and dismissive and also extremely withholding. I turn a blind eye and go along and then the straw that broke the camel's back is I went for coffee with a friend, whom she knows. This person is of no interest to me romantically whatsoever but trully a companion. She called right before our coffee date. (We hadn't spoken all day) and she says what are you doing? I tell her that I'm meeting said friend for coffee she says "Have fun with that" and hangs up.
Then the manipulation starts with I wanted to see if you wanted to hang but since you're busy I'll go and hang with my cousin. Which is complete hogwash because if she wanted to see me she would have said that instead of hanging up.

Anyways, I come to the conclusion that it's one thing that she feels insecure about my ex, and I nurtured it, but i'm beginning to see that it's an issue with EVERYONE!

I tried to call her back she didn't answer and I sent her a BBM saying that I wanted to ask her something. At this point I had made up my mind that I am responsible for the way she's treated me but that I couldn't do it anymore. She says she's busy and what is it blah blah. I say I can't be with you like this. She says Like what? Then end it then. I answer back saying that I'm sorry for wasting your time, and I hope you find what your looking for. The reply I get is okay, see ya. and she deletes me from BBM. Then a couple hours later, I go on FB to check emails and stuff, she's still on my page at this point. I scroll through a couple emails and a friend had a really cool saying that totally rang true about don't fight with an idiot because they will win with experience and I copy and paste it as my headline. Not even 15 minutes later she deletes me. 2.5 hours after our break up but 15 minutes after the headline change. Haven't heard from her since and its been two days.

I really love her, and I guess I'm hoping people can change and rise to the occasion. I'm not holding on the chance that it'll work out but I can't help but wonder why is it so easy for her to drop everything like we didn't exist? What do you all think

Im 13, what should i buy for my family? And more, 10 POINTS!!!?

My budget: 150$ (a portion of years of saving. don't say I'm spoiled since i don't even get allowance)
My budget within my mom,dad and brother: 100$ ( i dont wanna spend a lot on the rest)

My dad is a handyman kind of guy, he's almost 45years old. But he has everything a handyman can have: about 10 toolboxes, carpenter glue, and tons of tools i have never heard of. So tools isn't gonna do it.

He like to cook, especially with spices! He even cooks waaaaaaaay better then my mom, lol. I was thinking of spices or something, but i have no clue where to get that.
He's born and raised in Lebanon so he's used to stuff like Lebanese Coffee. I was searching for that also, with no success.

Now, my mom. She's also near 45 years old. I thought of a wool scarf. I think it costs around 20 to 30$. Maybe i should buy her scented candles? It comes cheaper and matches with my budget but i bought that last year too. I though of spa but its near 50$ for the cheapest thing. That's half my budget!

For my older brother (almost 16yrs old) i decided to buy a 1gigabyte memory card for his MP4. But since that doesn't cost more then 5$, I'm thinking maybe of buying him a video game too? We have a PS2 and he has a brand new laptop of his own.

For my younger cousin (7years old boy), i don't know what to buy him at all. His parents bought him a telescope so i guess he is into space and rockets. Maybe i should get an illustrated book? But he's got tons of that at school, it'll finish in a day.

For my youngest cousin (2 and a half years old girl), that's where I'm stuck the most. Clothes? She seems to like it, but i don't know what to get (size isn't a problem, I'll ask the mom). I don't know what she is into.
