In case you haven't heard of him he was a Greek historian. He traveled the world when he was young, and learned a lot about the cultures of the countries he visited. He then wrote the Histories, a book about the Greco-Persian war and the countries he visited. So... not the most interesting topic. However, I am focusing on the fact he said a lot of stupid things. (The Nile River was fueled by a melting glacier) I have currently made two power points: one on Herodotus himself, and one on the Histories. I am currently photo shopping pictures to make a digital book of the dumbest things he has said. However, I am still unsure. It should show that effort. A three-page essay typed the night before will not suffice. The Assignment: Choose a subject about an Asian culture before 1985 that interests you. Formulate a research question, answer the question, and present your answer. Suggestions: •Consider the five aspects of human nature that we have been exploring. Your research question should tie the culture you are exploring to one of those aspects. •Your results must be presented to the teacher and shared with the class in some appropriate way. There is a wide range of formats by which you may present your results. A standard essay will need to be at least six typed pages (12 point Times New Roman or 11 point Arial font, double spaced, 1 inch margins). For an essay, the class presentation might take the form of a five-minute oral report. But there are many other possibilities. You could cook a recipe, create a diorama, or teach a sport. Be creative. •Whatever format you use, you must submit your references in a Works Cited Page in standard MLA format. If your presentation is not written, it must also be accompanied by an outline of its content. In other words, I need a topic about anything related to Asian culture before 1985.....help me think of a topic...please? Would you like to?I am currently working on a project with another person, but my creative side is still not satisfied. I am looking for someone to write a novel with. Topics, style, and length to be determined. All serious inquiries will be considered. Thanks for all of the answers. Apparently I have mislead you guys into what I'm looking for. I'm not looking to write the next best-seller, or even really something to be published. I would, however, like to write something and finish it, which I can't seem to be able to do on my own. I certainly wouldn't expect someone to beg to write with me, rather, I am nearly begging someone to let me write with them. Apparently this is not something that most people are willing to be open to, and I can understand that. I do appreciate the comments, though! ** Powered by Yahoo Answers Click link above for correct copyright license. |
