Thoughts of Suicide...what do you do when you tried everything?

Lately I've been seriously contemplating suicide. I am an intelligent, talented, creative person. People consider me an attractive, intelligent and loving person. I produce music, write music, draw, etc. I was an addict, addicted to drugs but I'm sober now. I've been convicted before & no longer indulge in criminal activities but still I am condemned every time I search for employment. I am denied employment. I have a beautiful family who loves me, a beautiful girlfriend & best friend. Yet, life seems hopeless. I want to get married with her but can't because I am unemployed. I cannot pay my bills. Suddenly, after fighting against my demons and trying to live a normal, honest life I am overwhelmed with the reality that I will never be allowed success due to my past. So now I feel alone. And I am succumbed by thoughts of suicide. I've been doing things right, yet every thing is going wrong. I feel helpless. I'm seriously contemplating putting an end to my misery. I'm in Orlando, Fl. I don't know what else to do. I feel like I've done everything to become a better person yet I am put on trial when I try to gain employment. I cannot undo the past but I've done everything I can to pursue a bright future and to make amends with mistakes past. What other choices do I have? I've done counseling, 12 step programs, I've asked God for guidance yet people refuse to forgive my past & I can no longer provide for myself or family. I feel less than a man if I cannot provide for them. Please help?! What would you do if you've exhausted all of your resources?! Help before it's too late.

The world is such a huge place and everyday science and education are increasing. Every single person can learn and educate himself by his own way but before that people must value themselves and learn about their own capacity. Therefore I am going to write about my past experience and how did it influenced me, my environment and my life of becoming who I am.

Every person lived his childhood life remembering the old days that everyone wish to return to, every child has his own hero to dream about and my childhood hero was my uncle. The reason I mentioned my uncle because he was generous and kind, he is always there when I need help, he usually buys me gifts in my birthdays and surprises me with his jokes and sense of hummer, I always wanted to be like him. In my childhood life my uncle taught me how to think positively in life. Now, as a case in point, let’s pretend that I have failed an exam for three times, there is no need to be frustrated because I know that I have discovered three ways of failure. This kind of experience helped me and my family as well to keep going forward and never give up. People can learn from their childhood life a lot of things that they could never image how it can be useful in their future life.

Everyone has a goal and that goal is a dream and no one can convert that dream to reality till he or she breaks the weakness barrier and increases his or her strength, furthermore he or she must think critically, solve problems, use creative thinking skills and finally set goals, this way people can have the chance to reach what they dream about. I have weaknesses and strengths as everyone else. However my strengths are better because I think positively, that will help me to avoid problems, I am motivated and dedicated enough that I know exactly what I want to study and learn about. This definitely will help me in choosing my major, my career, the right place to work. Whereas my biggest weakness is the fear of lack of experience in any kind of field because no one can interact with me, furthermore I will not be able face hardships. People should not be upset about there weakness because no one is perfect and I am not perfect.

University and college is my second life in fact it’s my everyday life. Therefore I have chosen this university because it fits my goal and dreams which is to work in any field related to computer such as (networking, programming, website design…etc) that is because I enjoy learning about computer and how to use it to make my life easier. Moreover, I believe that my college fit my goals because it teaches me how to be motivated, dedicated, creative, communicative and many other things that will help not just in my major but my social life. Choosing the right path is a way of a huge success in school and life.

On the whole, everyone would like to be special and I do want to be special, what is important to know is being myself and not pretending to be someone else is the best way to represent myself because that is who I am and it’s my personality. After all I am a normal man with normal problems.

Environmental topics for paper?

I am stuck on a topic for an environmental paper I have to write for a senior level college course. It a creative writing of sorts, but I have been in the biology world for so long that I cannot fathom writing anything that doesn't follow the strict scientific paper outline. So I come to you all holy Yahoo Answers, what are some good environmental topics out there that arn't overly used and still slightly interesting.

A bit about things i am interested in that could possibly morph into good topics. I work and train horses, I am an avid cyclist, I enjoy photography and exploring country roads. I go to a rural university. I am actively involved in both MN and WI environmental programs. I knit more then the average grandmother.

I would like something closely related to my interests so I can be enthusiastic about it. I am sick, sick SICK of Wolves on the endangered species list, "going green" and lead tackle (being I wrote a 32 page paper on it last semester, and it was anything but creative writing)

I'm kinda picky about what I put into my stereo/put onto my turn-table...wouldn't want to waste a perfectly good pair of speakers/eardrums!

What I like more than any particular genre is any song that tells a good story with a good riff and/or a good rythmn (ie beat)...

I mostly try not to waste my life away with television, but when I do, I tend to watch cable news programs, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart/ the colbert report, Weeds, Breaking Bad, whatev I can find while channel surfing that isn't broadcasting sexually devious and mindless propaganda (ie commercials)...

Favorite Movies:

Any flicks by Quentin Tarantino, Oliver Stone, Steven Spielberg, Tim Burton, Kevin Smith, StarWars, good horror flicks (not slasher), crazy films that mess with your head like The Science of Sleep, ect. Also, Jim Carey flicks, good horror movies, and classic action/adventure movies such as Indianna Jones and Back to the Future...However, I also tend to like any movie that has a cult following.

Favorite Books:

The Art Of Happiness by the Dali Lama, which helped me to find enjoyment from every aspect of life, High Fidelity & Songbook...both by Nick Hornby, absolutely hilarious for any fan of music, Contact by Carl Sagan, a very deep philosophical and thought provoking adventure with themes such as the existance of extraterrestrials and God, The Torah by God, Aliens, or someone posing as God, a very biased approach at explaining why we exist, nevertheless still important in its ancient and widely accepted ideals, Cool Gardens by Serg Tankian, poetry for freethinkers, Dreams From My Father by President Barack Obama, a book that got me off of drugs and back into school, Stephen King's The Stand, Social Intelligence, the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling, selfexplannatory if you are a fan-if you aren't than you wouldn't understand anyway, a book called Zen Guitar that I don't remember the author's name, it helped me to "relearn" how to creatively make music without the use of drugs-as well as getting in touch with your inner imagination, Kurt Cobain Journals,tragic but fascinating, and I'm sure there are more...

Okay, guys. Taking a creative computing (programming class). We're using Python as our language. I'm just a novice (noob), so I don't know anything about this. We're supposed to write a code for this word game, and I started, but I don't know what I did wrong. Below are the instructions and my code. Can you tell me what I need to do next?

Activity 2: Word games
