Creative Writing - Creative Writing Questions

Question #1:

Who is creative enough to write... ?

Hi guys!!I really need your help...I need to write a song about the word ample all about it...not saying the word but meaning it..please my grade depend on this..thanks a lot for your help!!!
Or even a poem..

Question #2:

If you like pirates(or are just good with creative thinking)....can you help me out?

Okay, I'm writing a story...and it's actually a sequel to another that I've written....and unfortunately, this one isn't really being written as...fluently? should I say, as the first one...as in, I keep having writer's block...I mean I have the idea in my head...the general idea....but now what I need...is a reason for the things to be happening...

I'm going to try to be as vague as possible while still being specific enough to get my point across..

The story/ies...are kind of about pirates...not completely...but it does involve them....and what I need in the second one...is a reason for a pirate captain to kidnap an ex-pirate...I'm avoiding curses at all costs(I don't want my stories to be that similar to Pirates of the Caribbean) and the other things I was thinking are revenge (but why?) or maybe an unsettled debt of some sort...like the ex-pirate needed a huge favor of some sort....and now the new one is coming back for his payment so to speak...

so if any of you have any ideas...I'd REALLY appreciate them..these stories mean a lot to me...and I'd hate to stop writing because I can't think of one little detail...(not that I'd actually be able to stop writing...it'd just make it way more difficult)
Thanks for the suggestions that you've given me so far...but I thought I should clarify on a few more things...details from the story call for some things to not be possible...

The ex-pirate used to be a captain...

They weren't from the same ship crew

It has nothing to do with relationship quarrels (stealing wife, no family...etc)

The ex-pirate captain never thought the other captain would be able to find them.

The situation is life threatening...like the ex-pirate probably won't make it out alive...I just can't figure out why...

Question #3:

please read (:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Ohkay so I have a creative writing assignment to write a story that I make up, duhh, haha and I’m making it about 2 sisters that fall in love with the samy guy and it’s like a prince and princess tale and the kingdom like breaks up overit and stuff and I have it all planned out I just can’t think of a title. So could you help me? Ten points to best title (:

Question #4:

Ideas for a fictitious product I can advertise? (easy ten points)?

One of my assignments for my multimedia class it to write a radiospot for a fictitious item. It has to be something physical I can buy at Walmart or whatever, but it doesn't have to be realistic. For example, one kid in my class it doing a radiospot for a magic carpet. Another kid is doing chips called Alligator bites, which 'taste like real alligator!'

I'm having trouble thinking up of a creative, fictitious item. I want a somewhat original idea. The product itself doesn't have to be something funny, but maybe something I can do a humorous take on. Anyone have ideas? Tell them, even if it sounds dumb or lame -- it might inspire me. ;)

I guess I should add that we're all 18/19 year olds, but because middle schoolers will be observing us, things have to stay rated PG.

10 points if I use your suggestion, and/or you make me L-O-L. :]

What is your favourite style of creative writing to read?

Romance? Thriller? Constant, focussed conflict?

An autobiography, a monologue perhaps? Or just a story?

My personal favourites are streams of consciousness like The Catcher in the Rye; I was always writing them for English assignments when I was younger.
I was curious because I want to get into writing again, and would love to know what others enjoy to read, especially in short pieces of creative writing.

Question #10:

Can anyone give me an interesting topic to write a concept paper on?

I am in college and I have to write a concept paper. The paper can be written on anything however he doesn't want anything that has been "overwritten" (race, alcohol abuse, sexism etc.). He wants something that’s creative and original. I’ve came up with a few topics of my own, however, none of them are topics that I can write about, going on for 2 or 3 pages. Also it must teach the reader something and must be interesting. Please help!

Question #11:

I'm signed up for literature of war and genocide as my English class and I'm regretting it, Help?!?!?

I read Maus I(holocaust) and First They Killed My Father(Cambodian Genocide) over the summer and I liked Maus but the other one is so detailed it's crazy, I knew it was bad but I would of never dreamed that bad. But I think Creative Writing would be better for me. I didn't read any of those summer books and I'm considering switching out. Is the class I'm in right now any good? I would be pretty far behind if I switched. School starts Thursday and I can't decide, I need help.

Question #12:

Medium sized town little tech good experience, looking, what can I do?

I have a pretty solid resume as far as advancement and responsibilities go. I've worked for this software dev. firm for almost 2 years now. I started out in administration, then moved to HR and financing, now I'm in the QA/Software testing role. Its a very demanding position as I have been and am still currently the only tester (minus the automation tools we utilize). I've always been tech savvy, I know my way around IT troubleshooting, updating, and installing and have a knack for picking up anything tech. Its hard to relay that sort of information on a resume, though, any suggestions?

In my current role, I'm basically the sole testing engineer and release manager. I use MySql and Oracle databases, utilizing queries and sql scripts, configuring configuration/xml files, building the software locally, and deploying for demonstrations and company wide testing. I feel I have a good grasp on what it takes, but really lack the years many companies are looking for, its just hard to relay the fact that I'm the sole person for this stuff, hence the quick and deep immersion into it all. I would love to learn more, but there aren't any local colleges/universities that offer more tech classes that I'd like to take. Those that do are not just rip-offs, but not the exact field I'm interested in. I would love to be a developer (not programmer) or business analyst/QA manager.

Does anyone have experience in this, and if so, what would you recommend to someone in their latter 20s looking to make a profession out of it? I love to read and try things out on my own, so self-teaching is cool by me. I've recently started self-teaching on web development, am very creative and again, just love technology. Thanks in advance.

Finally, I have experience in high tech...the company I work for writes software management tools for companies looking to track assets utilizing Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology.

Help with creative block?

Hi. I used to be quite a creative person, but about a year ago I began to 'suffer' with creative block. My creative juices have stopped flowing! I don't know what to do about it. My biggest problem is that I have been trying to revamp my website with a brand new design, but I'm struggling. I've done about 5 different designs and all of them have been rubbish. I've also wanted to write a book for a long time now, but whenever I try to put pen to paper, my ideas seem terrible.

Any advice for how to solve my problem?

Thanks for any helpful answers!
