Going through old photographs I have found the boy's old photos my parents thought they had hidden well. Suggestions are appreciated. Let me know if you think this is a good concept and if what I wrote sounds ok. thanks! Question #4:What do you think of this passage? 10 pts.?I wrote this last night when I was feeling pretty creative. I'm not giving you the entire scene, but I'll give you the part where Micah, the protagonist, is recounting his first high school party, where he was taken by his best friend Declan.Declan had dragged me along to a few high school parties; I don’t remember exactly how many. I do remember that I was nervous as hell when I went to all of them, though. Declan was an extrovert and he thrived in social situations like that, where he could make himself the center of attention, but I’d rather sit on my couch and spend a few hours reading a good book. That was enough of an adventure for me. The first real party I went to was unforgettable. And when I say real party, I mean there were no presents, no cake, and no parents to supervise what was going on. What there were plenty of, though, were drugs, alcohol, and promiscuous sex in someone’s parents’ bedroom. It was very tasteful. I had spent an hour or so observing Declan from a corner where I was sure no one would find me. I was sitting, hiding behind the leaves of a fake plant, watching the chaos as it unfolded. Nearly everyone looked like they were drunk or high or, in some cases, just plain stupid. I figured to get the true party experience from behind a plant, I needed to have the same mindset as everyone else. I decided against smoking pot; my mother had done it at a very young age and had been kicked out of her house when her parents found out, and I didn’t want the chance of that happening to me. I tried to remain invisible as I made my way to the kitchen. I was new to the whole alcohol thing, so I was lucky to see someone else in the kitchen getting a drink. He took a shot of some whiskey, made a grimacing face, and set the shot glass back on the counter. He coughed a little. I walked a little closer to him, hoping he wasn’t too plastered to give me some advice. I told him I had never drank before and wanted to know what to try. There were beer cans, bottles of hard lemonade, wine coolers, vodka, tequila—enough alcohol for everyone at the party to have more than a fair share. “You’ve really never drank before?” He asked. He had the appearance of someone who would usually be stately and well-postured, but the alcohol had worn him down. I pointed to a bucket of full of ice and wine coolers that was a few feet away. I recognized what they were because my mom drank them all the time. “I think I’ll have a wine cooler. Could you hand me one, please?” He let out heavy, breathless laugh, bent over a little and placed his hand on his stomach to be able to breathe again. “You want a wine cooler?” He asked. “Yeah,” I said, “I want to get drunk tonight.” “Are you gay?” He asked. “What?” He repeated himself, this time with a little chuckle. “Are you gay?” “No,” I told him. “Why?” “You don’t want to get drunk on wine coolers unless you’re a fruit, man.” He tossed me a can of beer. “Here, drink this.” He left the kitchen, half staggering, and I opened the can of beer. I looked at it for a few seconds. I don’t have to do this, I thought. No, I decided, I said I was going to get drunk, so I’m going to get drunk. I took one sip of the beer and immediately hated the taste. Okay. Beer was out. What else could I drink? I grabbed the bottle of whiskey, poured myself a shot, and tried that, hoping it wouldn’t taste like shit. I was wrong. The whiskey tasted worse. I put the cap back on and pushed it to the back of the counter. I saw the bottle of vodka and figured it had to be better than the whiskey, at least. It was clear—how much bad flavor can they put in something if it’s clear? I experimented like that with the different types of alcohol for the next few minutes. All in all, I think I had about eleven shots of various things. By the time I was done tasting and had decided I would drink the hard lemonade to get drunk, I was already drunk. I spent the next few hours at the party bumping into people and knocking them over. It was a good thing they were drunk, too, since they probably would have kicked my ass otherwise. Declan and I ended up crashing at the house that night. It wasn’t really voluntary, though. I crashed on the stairs on my way up to locate Declan, and he crashed on the stairs on his way down to find me. When I awoke the next morning, I felt like I had been run over by a bus. It was, without a doubt, the worst I had ever felt. I’d take death any day over a hangover. So I decided then that I would never drink again. What good did it do me? It’s not like it helped me talk to girls or get any action; I passed out on the stairs for Christ’s sake. I think that first party scarred me, in both good and bad ways. It was good because I learned that drinking is horrible and definitely not fun, but it was bad because it made me too afraid to do anything. All the other parties I went to were just like the first, except without the alcohol. I found a place to be by myself and spent most of Question #5:I'm going to LA to take part in Michael Jackson's memorial, what should I write on my sign? Here's theh picture i'm using, what caption if any should I have?Click Here Question #6:Is it foreshadowing or creative writing? It seems far more likely that the Gospel writers borrowed stories from the Old Testament when writing their Gospels than reporting what actually happened. I hear it explained as double prophecy or foreshadowing of Jesus but could it not be the other way around where the Gospel writers created Jesus life from what they already knew from the Old Testament. If it were done that way it sure would look like foreshadowing. So what do you think foreshadowing or creative writing?Question #7:What should I write on my boyfriend's birthday cake?So its his 18th birthday tomorrow and im making him a cake. I love to bake and i haven't decided on a theme for the cake. problem is i wanna write something cute, not the regular "happy 18th birthday". Basically i need something cute and creative that he'll remember. Also the cake is only for us so it can say whatever. Lastly I can shape the cake into anything, so a cute saying as the basis for a themed cake would be great.Question #8:Does this comparison in my writing sound dumb?So yeah...I've been trying to be slightly more creative, and I want to know if August's work being compared to flowers & whatnot is stupid. Lol, be honest. I don't really care. The words expressed something so deep August himself never knew he felt, words intertwined like flowers to create an beautiful work, a literary bouquet which he would hand to his mother. And she would smile, as she read his accomplishment; she would feel it and take it in with her senses. And she did. (then there is more description and such) Yet little did his mother know, little did he know, that the small bouquet he shared would grow into a garden, and that garden would be open for anyone to stroll. She lets the tears come as they fall. Katie wants someone to love, But she won't get that at all. So when Katie just never comes back, They don't realize what they've done. Question #11:What do you think of an up and coming Spiderman Broadway Musical?Wood, Cummings join Spidey musical castAP Last updated 14:56 29/06/2009 Evan Rachel Wood and Alan C umming have joined the cast of Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark, the upcoming Broadway musical about the famous web-slinger. Wood will portray Peter Parker's girlfriend, Mary Jane Watson, while C umming takes on the role of Norman Osborn, also known as the villainous Green Goblin. The musical, directed by Julie Taymor, begins preview performances Feb. 25, 2010, at the Hilton Theatre. As for C umming, the director added: "He has such range and such charisma as a performer that I feel his Green Goblin will bring many surprises that will move and entertain us." The story for the musical was inspired by the Marvel comic books hero - who's also inspired three hit movies - and will include the story of his origins as well as new material. Other members of the show's production team include set designer George Tsypin, who did the sets for The Little Mermaid on Broadway; costume designer Eiko Ishioka; lighting designer Donald Holder of "The Lion King" and sound designer Jonathan Deans who has worked for Cirque du Soleil.
