Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland

- Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland Questions

Question #1:

Where can I find Alice In Wonderland fabric?

I'm looking for something similar to the illustrations in the Lewis Carroll books. I've been looking online for a while and am getting desperate. At this point I'd settle for the Disney characters, or even stuff from the upcoming Tim Burton flick. I just need a website where I can find it. I'm not even picky about which Carroll characters are depicted.

Question #2:

Another Tim Burton Question?

I know I just asked a Tim Burton Question, but I have to say...
Which Tim Burton fans out there hated his version of the Willy Wonka movie? And Corpse Bride? I hate the movie. And Alice in Wonderland looks stupid as hell too. But other than that, I love his movies.

Question #7:

How to make a girly Mad Hatter costume?

I want to be the Mad Hatter ( Alice in Wonderland book/cartoon NOT Tim Burtons) for halloween but I want to make the costume myself. I'm having slight difficulty since I want it to be cute ( with a puffy green dress and what not) but also look like the character itself.

I'll probably buy cloths from Wet Seal, Hot Topic, Forever 21 and JC Penny and what not.

I am being the white queen from Alice and Wonderland for halloween (a cross between the book version and tim burton's) and I want to make the crown from the book. I have no idea where to start, as I'm not that "crafty", and I'm hoping for some suggestions.

Question #11:

Would it be considered copying.. (wedding theme)?

My fiance and I were going to do a Tim Burton themed wedding, specifically Nightmare Before Christmas, Alice in Wonderland and the Corpse Bride

After a couple suggestions we decided to just stick with one. Either Alice in Wonderland or Corpse Bride

Leaning more toward Alice in Wonderland

But my question is, wouldn't that be coping Ashlee and Pete's wedding? I don't like those two, I'm not a fan, but I don't want our wedding to look like a rip off of theirs, or for people to think that.

I don't want it to be traditional.. but I really don't want it to look like someone elses wedding
chances are im older than you sweety ;) get a life
look i dont care if you don't like themes, or if you're traditional

have your wedding day the way YOU want it, and let me have it the way I want it

Question #12:

Need some help for my wedding idea?

I have a theme, but it's pretty general.

Tim Burton's Films:
Corpse Bride
NBC
Alice in Wonderland

Based around those 3 specific films. [AIW doesn't come out til next year but still]

How can we incorporate those into our wedding?

our wedding cake is going to be something like one of these two, probaly more likely the 2nd one

but what about ceremony and reception decor? centre pieces? flowers? colours?

This is where I'm stuck :( i'm having a huge mental block... Our wedding isn't til october 31st next year, so plenty of time. Its driving me nuts tho!

any help or ideas would be helpful!
thanks

Question #13:

Question #14:

Books turned into Movies?

I have a feeling in my big toe that "Chronicles of Vladimir" will get a movie deal sooner or later. I notice that these books are mostly teen/young adults.

Books turned Movies
Twilight has it's deal(couldn't get passed the third book)
Harry Potter ( loved them)
Cirque du Freak is coming soon to a theater near you(can't wait to see it)
Beastly release date is 30 July 2010 (read it)
Alice In Wonderland 2010( love Tim Burton)
Wings (2011) starring Miley Cyrus
Where the Wild Things Are(I will be the first in line)
Whip It
The Lovely Bones(currently reading this)
The Time Traveler’s Wife(heard it was good)
I Love You, Beth Cooper(hope it's funny)
My Sister’s Keeper(looks too sad)
Coraline(nice movie)
Inkheart(not bad, not enough action)
Dorian Gray(I've been waiting for this for a long time)
The Hobbit(please be just as good as LOTR)
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs(cute)
Confessions of a Shopaholic(silly, not the best movie, but I had a good laugh)
The Undomestic Goddess (2011) by Sophie Kinsella

I just thought of these off the top of my head. I'm sure I missed a boat load of books turned movies.

P.S.
Jake Gyllenhaal as Prince of Persia? I can't picture it but, I'll give him a chance though.

Question #17:

Posers pretending to like ALICE IN WONDERLAND?

Ever since tim burton, johnny depp, alan rickman, that whole crew decided to make alice in wonderland, all these kids are pretending they always loved alice in wonderland. You know who I am talking about, those kids who go into hot topic with their nightmare before christmas wallets and corpse bride earrings or whatever. The kids who pretend to be unique and original but really just use tim burton as a guideline. because whatever tim burton does is cool of course. I like some of his stuff but I will not be a poser and pretend I was always of a fan of whatever new thing he comes out with. Those kids never cared about alice in wonderland until he decided to make it a movie. It bothers me how fake they are. What do you think?

Question #18:

*jumps up and down with glee*

Question #20:

Alice in Wonderland easy costume ideas?

my friend is going as the mad hatter so i thought id go as Alice. I dont need a wig, because my hair is blond already, and i ave the perfect shoes and a pair of striped tights (i want to add an element of creepiness to it..me and my friend are both huge tim burton fans)
but i can seem to figure out what i could use for a dress.
i have a blue, old fashioned nighty that i could probably alter to work, but i'm hopeless at sewing so if anyone could give me any really easy patterns or ideas (preferably cheap too) it would be really great
thanks
